Gold Rush

Each year, the Good Shepherd Longview Guild votes to support a needed service or project that is recommended to them from Good Shepherd Medical Center Longview. Since 1984, Gold Rush has played a vital role in the development and advancement of such services as the Heart Center, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Perinatology Clinic and Women's Center, the Shepherd House, the Digital Mobile Mammography Service, Phase II of the Medical Simulation Center, facility improvements which support the Graduate Medical Education program and 3D Mammography Technology.

In 2015, proceeds helped fund Women’s and Children’s services; including updated equipment and environment on the units as well as NicView – a system by which parents of babies in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit can monitor them from home.

The evening, featuring live performances from The Pictures, kicked off with a silent auction starting immediately when the doors opened at 6:30 p.m. A shortened live auction took place later that night following the close of the silent auction at 9 p.m. Dozens of local restaurants were on-site featuring delicious food samples throughout the evening.

Supporters also had the opportunity to purchase reverse raffle tickets for a Ford Edge, donated by Pegues Hurst Ford, at $100 each ticket.

The 2015 Gold Rush gala was held on Saturday, October 17.
