  • Good Shepherd Health System Selects Multinational System as Potential Partner

    Good Shepherd Health System announced today that it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to become part of CHRISTUS Health, an international, Catholic, not-for-profit health system headquartered in Irving, Texas. The proposed agreement will improve Good Shepherd’s ability to meet the ever-growing health care needs of Northeast Texans through increased resources and innovative services.

  • Bicycle Helmet Giveaway Planned for Saturday, May 14 in Marshall

    In anticipation of area children being out of school for the summer and spending time on their bicycles, Good Shepherd Medical Center - Marshall’s Level III Trauma Center, in conjunction with Texas Medical Association, will host “Hard Hats for Little Heads” – a bicycle safety event – Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in downtown Marshall at Telegraph Park.

  • Good Shepherd Medical Center – Marshall Awarded Advanced Certification for Acute Stroke Ready Hospital

    Good Shepherd Medical Center (GSMC) – Marshall announced it has earned Advanced Disease-Specific Care Certification for Acute Stroke Ready Hospital from The Joint Commission and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. This certification recognizes hospitals equipped to treat stroke patients with timely, evidence-based care prior to transferring them to a Primary or Comprehensive Stroke Center.

  • Survivor Celebration Kicks Off October Awareness

    Good Shepherd Medical Center - Marshall will hold a Survivor Celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. to honor employees who are survivors or are currently fighting cancer.
