2014 Race to Wellness
Texas to Tuscany

The annual Marshall Hospital Foundation benefit, Race to Wellness, is ten years old and counting!

The 2014 event will feature a Texas to Tuscany theme set among the gently rolling hills of Enoch’s Stomp Vineyards. The evening will include a dinner complete with culinary treats ranging from steaks to Italian crème cake, a variety of spirits, and an auction.

Festivities will begin at 6:00 on Friday, October 17, at Enoch’s Stomp Vineyards, a short drive from Marshall on Highway 154. Shuttle transportation from the GSMC-Marshall Medical Plaza parking lot is planned.

Musical entertainment will feature The Bluebirds, an amazingly versatile group known for their ability to play the music of Creedence Clearwater, Van Morrison, Elvis, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Over the past decade the Foundation has raised over $1.8 million dollars in service to Good Shepherd Medical Center – Marshall.  Proceeds this year will be directed to laparoscopic equipment for the Surgery Unit.  Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that eliminates the need for major incisions. The Surgery Unit is dedicated to offering patients this innovative medical care with state-of-the-art equipment.
