Guardian-Winter-2015 - page 3

The Gold Rush issue of
The Guardian
is always very special
to us, particularly this year, as Good Shepherd Medical Center
commemorates its 80th Anniversary. In this issue, we take a
look back at eight decades of serving our patients and their
families, follow a young woman’s valiant journey back from a
stroke, salute Good Shepherd staff members who are real-life
heroes and of course, celebrate the 2014 Gold Rush.
“Disco Déjà Vu” will be a Gold Rush long remembered. To
quote a classic disco song, “Good times, these are good times.”
I would like to thank all of the amazing Good Shepherd Guild
members and volunteers for their dedication and tireless work,
our generous sponsors, the many food and auction donors
and all of the GSHS staff who helped to make Gold Rush such
a resounding success.
The funds raised from the evening will help fund Good
Shepherd’s new 3D mammography, a revolutionary screening
and diagnostic tool designed for early detection of breast
cancer. With it, we can help improve the health of our
community, and more importantly, save lives.
Your continued loyalty and support of our organization is
always appreciated, and from all of us at Good Shepherd
Medical Center, we hope 2015 brings health and happiness to
you and your family.
