    Good Shepherd Medical Center (GSMC) has been presented with the Get with the Guidelines®-Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for the treatment of stroke patients. 

  • Bicycle Helmet Giveaway Planned for Saturday, May 14 in Marshall

    In anticipation of area children being out of school for the summer and spending time on their bicycles, Good Shepherd Medical Center - Marshall’s Level III Trauma Center, in conjunction with Texas Medical Association, will host “Hard Hats for Little Heads” – a bicycle safety event – Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in downtown Marshall at Telegraph Park.

    In anticipation of area children being out of school for the summer and spending time on their bicycles, Good Shepherd Emergency Center – Kilgore, in conjunction with Texas Medical Association, will host “Hard Hats for Little Heads” – a bicycle safety event – Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Kilgore City Park (large pavilion).

    Good Shepherd Longview's childbirth preparation class is designed to begin six to eight weeks prior to your due date. This 4-week interactive class provides labor and delivery preparation for the pregnant woman and her partner/coach. Together you will gain knowledge of the birth process and be able to make personal decisions related to your birth experience. 

    May Class Dates: 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24

    Class registration fee is $75 per couple; must register to attend.

    The Stroke Support Group at Good Shepherd - Marshall provides you with the opportunity to meet and share experiences with family members, caregivers and others. The support group has been established to provide education, advice and self-help skills, as well as new potentials and possibilities.
