  • CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center - Marshall to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Celebration

    CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center – Marshall will host a breast cancer awareness celebration, #Pledge4Prevention Celebration Day, to educate community members and hospital Associates about breast health, the importance of annual mammogram screenings and breast exams. 

  • Good Shepherd Medical Center Joins the American Joint Replacement Registry

    Good Shepherd Medical Center has recently become a participant of the American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR). The AJRR serves as a central clearinghouse for data on total hip and knee arthroplasties at Good Shepherd and other participating sites throughout the country and aims to carefully monitor and track the implanted devices used in these procedures.

  • Gregg County Commissioners Court Approves Amendment to Good Shepherd Health System Lease Agreement

    Good Shepherd Health System (GSHS) received approval from Gregg County Commissioners Court to amend the health system’s current lease and transfer the agreement from Good Shepherd to Duke LifePoint Healthcare.

  • Good Shepherd Health System Selects Duke LifePoint Healthcare as Potential Partner

    The Good Shepherd Health System today announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding to be acquired by Duke LifePoint Healthcare, subject to approval of the amended lease by the Gregg County Commissioners Court. The proposed acquisition would provide additional resources to help Good Shepherd enhance its services and thrive in the future.

  • Good Shepherd Medical Center Announces Relocation of Clinic

    Good Shepherd Medical Center is excited to announce the relocation of Good Shepherd Medicine Clinic. The clinic has moved from 103 W. Loop 281 in Longview, to the new address at 2101 W. Loop 281, also in Longview.

    Good Shepherd Medical Center (GSMC) – Marshall has been recognized by Midas+ Solutions, A Xerox Company, as a top performing hospital in its MIDAS+ Platinum Quality Award program.  The award reflects achievement in quality outcomes, care efficiency and consistent delivery of evidence-based best practices in healthcare delivery. 

  • Bicycle Helmet Giveaway Planned for Saturday, May 14 in Kilgore

    In anticipation of area children being out of school for the summer and spending time on their bicycles, Good Shepherd Emergency Center – Kilgore, in conjunction with Texas Medical Association, will host “Hard Hats for Little Heads” – a bicycle safety event – Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Kilgore City Park (large pavilion).

  • Bicycle Helmet Giveaway Planned for Saturday, May 14 in Marshall

    In anticipation of area children being out of school for the summer and spending time on their bicycles, Good Shepherd Medical Center - Marshall’s Level III Trauma Center, in conjunction with Texas Medical Association, will host “Hard Hats for Little Heads” – a bicycle safety event – Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in downtown Marshall at Telegraph Park.

  • Good Shepherd to Host FREE Child Car Seat Safety Inspections

    Good Shepherd Medical Center’s Nurse-Family Partnership Program, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), will host free child car seat safety inspections Saturday, April 23.
