Professional Practice Model
GSMC Professional Practice Model is based on a compass design with each direction or element of the compass ultimately leading us back to the center, which is the patient and family to whom we are accountable.
Florence Nightingale’s Theory involving the art and science of nursing through robust educational preparation to focus on the individual being cared for. The environment is adapted to ensure supportive physical and psychological conditions for healing.
Patient and Family Centered Care is a model whereby the patient and family are a part of the care delivery process and their input and integration is at the essence of the care delivered. The expectation is that the patient and family are involved in decision making and are central to the model as we serve them.
