2011 HealthStream, Inc “Excellence Through Insight” Patient Satisfaction Award

Officials at Good Shepherd Medical Center announced today the recent recognition of their A600 Progressive Care Unit by HealthStream, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSTM) with an Excellence Through Insight award for “Overall Patient Satisfaction of an Inpatient – Step-Down Unit.” A formal presentation of the award will be made during HealthStream’s customer Summit 2012 to be held on March 8, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Good Shepherd was awarded this honor for their commitment to excellence in patient care. To qualify for an Excellence Through Insight award, a hospital must have been a patient satisfaction-tracking client of HealthStream in 2011, scored in the 75^th percentile or higher and surveyed a minimum of 100 patients. Good Shepherd’s Progressive Care Unit was chosen for receiving the highest patient satisfaction ratings for an Inpatient – Step-Down Unit amongst HealthStream’s clients, as well as for exceeding industry standards.

This honor joins Good Shepherd’s numerous national recognitions awarded to the medical center in recent years. Good Shepherd previously announced in October of 2011 the presentation by CareChex of eight Top 100 national rankings for Medical Excellence as well as four Top 100 national rankings for Patient Safety.
