Sports Medicine Services
Good Shepherd Medical Center’s Sports Medicine program provides a variety of services to the public including athletic event coverage care for community sports events such as softball tournaments, track meets and other types of sporting events. They provide athletic injury evaluation and on-site medical care to area schools districts as well as Saturday Morning Injury Clinics during the fall sports season for student athletes.
Sports Medicine works with the Neurological Institute at Good Shepherd to administer and support the ImPACT ™ Concussion Management program with local school districts and colleges. In addition to the on-site care provided to local schools, the Sports Medicine program supports continuing education needs for athletic trainers and coaches through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association as a BOC provider of continuing education.
