Emergency Heart Care (Code STEMI)
Taking care of patients who are having a heart attack comes down to one thing – “Time is muscle.” The entire team from the ambulance, to the Emergency Department, to the cardiac catheterization lab, everyone is focused on the time that is the heart muscle in need during a heart attack.
Consistently, our team achieves treatment of “door to balloon time” of under sixty minutes……that means from the time that a patient rolls in the door of the emergency department until there is a re-establishment of blood flow in the heart’s artery, it’s less than one hour.
