Mission
The mission is to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program of the highest quality in order to improve the functional independence of those we serve.
Our staff consists of:
- Therapists specially trained in neurodevelopmental techniques that help patients following a stroke and other neurological injuries.
- Acute care nurses with rehabilitation specific training and skills to care for higher acuity patients.
Convenience for Patients and Families.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is located on the second floor of the Medical Center’s East Tower. The unit consists of 25 private patient rooms and one deluxe suite in addition to a private dining area for patients, and outdoor patio, Activities of Daily Living apartment and a gym where physical, occupational and speech therapies take place.
Because the unit is located within the Medical Center, the patient’s physician, along with the unit’s physiatrist, can provide one-on-one care until the patient reaches his or her goals.
Why Choose Good Shepherd Medical Center’s Inpatient Rehabilitation?
From admission to discharge, Good Shepherd’s Rehabilitation patients demonstrate greater improvement in their independence scores (dressing, bathing, walking) when compared to the national average for rehabilitation units. Our team works with each patient one-on-one, according to the individual’s unique needs, to produce this quality result.
