X-Ray Services

Good Shepherd offers X-Ray services, including Computerized Tomography, UltraSound, Mammography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging,  to assist physicians in diagnosing illnesses based on the patient’s unique healthcare needs.

Computerized Tomography

Good Shepherd is the first hospital in Longview to provide an innovative way for physicians to obtain the information they need to diagnose life-threatening illnesses including cardiovascular disease and stroke. Computed Tomography, often times referred to as “CT” or “Cat” Scan is an effective diagnostic tool that can see into areas of the body that cannot be seen on a regular X-ray examination. With the acquisition of the 64-Slice LightSpeed® VCT from GE Healthcare, the world’s first Volume Computed Tomography (VCT) system, Good Shepherd Medical Center provides the highest level of CT imaging technology in the area. Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging, also known as sonography, is a method of obtaining images of the inside of your body through the use of high frequency sound waves. The images are captured in real-time, allowing the physician to see the movement of internal organs and tissues. Good Shepherd Medical Imaging department uses advanced technology (GE Logiq 9 and the GE Voluson 4-Dimensional Expert) ultrasound systems and is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
