Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a diagnostic imaging technology that utilizes a strong field magnet and radiofrequency waves to produce pictures or “images” of your internal organs and structures. Because MRI allows your doctor to see inside your body from any angle with great clarity, it gives doctors a wealth of information more quickly than past tests. GSMC has two 1.5 Tesla magnets operating daily.
Good Shepherd offers a complete range of MRI services, including brain, spine, abdominal, breast, prostate and orthopaedic imaging, as well as MR Angiography (MRA). The MRI service is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) .
