The Shepherd House
A home away from home for caregivers whose families are seeking medical care at Good Shepherd Medical Center by providing lodging and other supportive services.
The Shepherd House offers convenient accommodations for family members who need a place to stay close to the hospital. Parents of a child in the NICU or the spouse of a critically ill patient in the Intensive Care Unit will find the Shepherd House to be a warm, comfortable home away from home when they are tired and need a place to rest.
Many of our patients come from surrounding East Texas counties and have no one to stay with or limited financial resources to stay in hotels. The Shepherd House will meet this need for many. The home has four private bedroom and bath suites, a common kitchen, dining room and great room.
