Corporate Wellness

The cost of insurance premiums and employee medical claims is at an all time high and continues to rise. Productivity losses related to personal and family health problems cost employers $225.8 billion annually, and business leaders are being called upon to make changes at the workplace in order to curb rising costs. Many are turning to workplace health programs to help employees adopt healthier lifestyles and lower their risk of developing costly chronic diseases. Only worksite health promotion stands out as the long-term answer for keeping employees well in the first place.

What We Can Do For You
Develop Wellness Goals & Action Plan
Health and Prevention Services works with organizations to develop and define wellness goals using a variety of tools, such as health risk assessments, diagnostic labs, biometric data and more. A customized wellness program will be designed, based on each organization’s
unique needs.

Provide Customized Wellness Services & Programs
Health Education: creates an awareness of risk factors, lifestyle behaviors and disease processes. Helps to establish a workplace culture of health. On-site workshops will be specific to the risk factors faced by the organization’s unique employee population; topics may include tobacco cessation, nutrition, diabetes, stroke prevention, skin cancer prevention, worksite fitness and more. We will also share opportunities for employees to attend community health events.

Lifestyle Modification: engages individuals in programs that enable behavior change and improve health. Participants will learn to
develop, monitor and evaluate choices focused on decreasing risk factors for disease.

Screenings: provide results to employees to detect common, serious diseases and conditions. In addition, overall employee population health data is analyzed for the employer to identify areas for wellness improvement and targeted cost savings.

Corporate Services Support: allows customized pricing structure for Good Shepherd services such as primary care exams,
occupational medicine visits and membership at The Institute for Healthy Living.

Good Shepherd Network: provides access and referrals to Good Shepherd’s network of physicians and specialized services, such as diabetic education, cardiac rehabilitation, OrthoDirect, the Neurological Institute, Center for Sleep Disorders and more.
